Opsmuk was born from a simple idea: jewellery doesn’t have to be gemstones and wedding bands only. Here you will find no unnecessary embellishment, no excess. Designs that are bold without being loud. Every piece is designed in-house and handcrafted using traditional goldsmithing techniques. The results, on the other hand, are anything but traditional. The designs consist of clean lines and thoughtful proportion, made from silver with an unexpected material here and there.
There's a quiet contradiction at the heart of the name. Opsmuk is an old, forgotten Dutch word for adornment, decoration or ornamentation. "I want to give the word a new life. Where the word used to suggest excess, my jewellery designs strip things back to what matters: form, balance, and craftsmanship."
MADE TO BE WORN
Every piece is made to be worn by anyone. No rules about who it's for, just jewellery that fits however you want to express yourself, whether that's the finishing touch on an outfit or the piece that does all the talking.
Behind Opsmuk is one atelier, one pair of hands, and a lot of love, time and energy. Nothing is mass-produced, nothing is rushed. Every design starts as a sketch and ends up handcrafted, piece by piece.
